So i wanted to share a great moment with you guys.

the sign says “teveen where did our transgender law go ?”

When you wanna change your gender legally in holland, you have to undergo hystorectomy or be steriel.

Teeven is a politician in holland who promised us that we could change our gender without having surgery. he didn’t keep that promise, so on pink saturday ( a small pride day in holland each year in a different city) i meet up with some other transgender people to protest in the parade. That politician was walking in the parade too, so when we stopped at Harlem’s main square where he would have a speece we held up all of our signs. he said that he would try to pass the law on august 17.

even though its still unclear if the law passes, it was a great day. not only i stand up for my rights. but i was proud to be me, walk around and show the world who i am and didn’t care what other people might think.

Just so everyone knows, the whole channel is going to be taking a hiatus for a while. As every media production does, we are going to have an off-season to recuperate and reorganize. I hope to have your continued support through the course of this. If anyone has any comments or suggests on what we can do to improve when we come back, please let us know! We are hoping of re-branding the channel entirely and to do that, we need a little bit of time and a break. We love you all so incredibly much and I hope you are as excited as we are for all the stuff ahead. A few of us will randomly post to the channel as our hearts desire, and we should be back, up and running, within a few months.

This is Steph and I would really like to answer this question too! So here it goes:

Honestly, I am a firm believer in being with whoever you fall in love with / are attracted to. If one day you’re attracted to someone who identifies as “butch” go for it! If the next day you’re attracted to someone who is “Femme” go for that too! I personally feel very suffocated when I become stuck within a label or “role” so I try to stay as far away from that as possible because I find myself to fluidly shift between both masculine and feminine. However, if you are someone who self-identifies as “butch” or “femme” or whatever, I don’t think that has to dictate who you are attracted to. I know that there is the saying “opposites attract,” but if you’re gay in the first place that is not necessarily true anymore. Everyone has different preferences and the main thing that I would like to clarify is that the way you present your gender (trans* , butch, femme, androgynous, bigendered, everything in between) has absolutely ZERO bearing on your sexual preference. Those two things are not related at all . Do what you want to do regardless of what a stereotype tells you is acceptable. I am a short haired girl, and all though I always date girls with long hair, I am very very attracted to other girls with short hair who are androgynous also. Phew! That was a long response! I’ll shut up now and stop rambling. I hope that helped a little bit?
